Aidan Nesbitt ranks Invincible Falkirk up there with ANYTHING as his Celtic heroes doing the Treble can't compare

He was huddled round a laptop in a Scotland camp when he saw his Celtic heroes complete an unspeakable, Invincible Treble-winning campaign.

But Aidan Nesbitt says that being crowned an invincible League One champion with Falkirk is the stuff of which dreams are made. The Bairns No.10 led the charge as John McGlynn’s side fought back from two goals down to rescue a point against a gutsy Alloa side that ensured the runaway title-winners could put an invincible touch of finesse on their trophy-day party.

He says the occasion was one of the best days of his life and now, as he rubs shoulders with those he looked to in Brendan Rodgers' side, he can scarcely believe what he and his teammates have achieved considering the bumps in the road during his time at the Falkirk Stadium. He said: “It’s magnificent, it really is. I’ve been here for three years now and we as a club have been through a lot in that time. To go from where we were to where we are now is incredible. It’s different class.

“It’s the stuff that dreams are made of. My heroes did it when I was a teenager, when Celtic won their first Treble under Brendan Rodgers. I’ll not compare the two – but it feels amazing to have gone and matched what they did in the league. It’s phenomenal to feel what they did at that time.

“I was away on a Scotland trip with the 21s, so as much as I was buzzing, I was gutted to have not been at the final when they sealed the Treble against Aberdeen, but I can recall the day well. It was an amazing season, again another phenomenal achievement. I remember getting my debut for Celtic – it was phenomenal, just as that day was and just as Saturday was, too.
