Bloomin’ marvellous flower festival will celebrate Manchester icons

Get ready to celebrate the start of summer at the ever-popular Manchester Flower Festival this May.

From floral installations to outdoor dining and entertainment, you’re in for a bloomin’ amazing long weekend in Manchester city centre.

Taking place across the late May Bank Holiday weekend, this year’s festival, organised by Manchester City Centre Business Improvement District, will celebrate the city's icons, including Emmeline Pankhurst, Caroline Aherne, and Rowetta as well as iconic Manchester landmarks and buildings.

This year, there will be 10 professionally designed displays to be discovered, all themed around 'Manchester Icons'.

Look out for iconic displays and pop-up gardens, showcasing everything from Manchester-born icons and music icons to iconic buildings and personal icons.

Wind your way around the city’s shopping streets to find the most beautiful (and Instagrammable) gardens and flowers.

Keep your eyes open as you walk around the city’s shopping streets – and you’ll find all manner of surprising floral, garden and green displays.

In windows, planters, doorways, shops, and more, you’ll find a little slice of summer.
