Borna Barisic final Rangers decision made amid fan spat as last gasp Dinamo Zagreb bid hits roadblock

Outgoing Rangers defender Borna Barisic has reportedly knocked back a last-gasp attempt to sign him from Dinamo Zagreb.

The left-back looks set to pull the curtain down on a six-yard spell at Ibrox after falling down the pecking order since Philippe Clement's arrival – with Ridvan Yilmaz and versatile Dujon Sterling often given the nod over the Croatian international. The 31-year-old has struggled to capture his best form this season with some sections of the Ibrox support criticising the star – and temperatures reached boiling point following Sunday's win over Kilmarnock.

The 35-times capped star was confronted in the car park outside the stadium. A clip emerged on social media showing Barisic leaving the stadium after the game and speaking with some fans who had gathered. The defender walks away before abruptly doubling back to address a punter near the entrance - raising his arms and lunging before being led away.

That looks like it could be one of Barisic's last acts as a Rangers player, after Record Sport revealed last week Barisic was bound for Trabzonspor. Now Turkish outlet Express claim Dinamo Zagreb have made a last-gasp offer to bring Barisic back to Croatia.

However, Barisic has stuck with the Turkish giants. It is claimed the package offered by Trabzonspor was more than what Zagreb were prepared to offer.
