David De Gea sends clear Manchester United message as wait for new club goes on

Former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is still working hard on the training pitch despite being without a club since the start of the season.

The Spaniard was released by United at the end of his contract back in the summer but is yet to find a new club. He’s been linked with numerous transfers over the last few months, but no move has been completed.

His Old Trafford exit came after a season in which he won the Premier League Golden Glove, but the decision was taken to replace him with Andre Onana who joined from Inter Milan for a £47.2 million fee.

Despite still being a free agent, De Gea is continuing to work independently as he looks to maintain his sharpness for when a move does happen. Back in April, he shared footage of himself training at the ground of non-league side Altrincham, along with the caption: “We remember. We rebuild. We come back stronger.”

De Gea has now shared the latest update on the work he is doing on the training pitch. On his Instagram stories he shared videos of him working with three coaches, along with the words “work work work.”

The video also appears to show the goalkeeper wearing his old Manchester United training kit, something that wasn’t missed by United fans on social media. It shows that the goalkeeper still has a connection with the club despite his contentious exit in the summer.
