Ed Sheeran and ex Rangers star lead Ipswich Town promotion party with madcap festive sing song

Dominic Ball has been enjoying Ipswich Town's wild promotion party by performing a duet with one of the world's biggest pop stars.

The former Aberdeen and Rangers defender hasn't featured for the Tractor Boys since April 13 and has found minutes difficult to come by with just 16 appearances to his name this season. But that definitely didn't put Ball off joining in with Town's celebration following the Anglian club's promotion back to the Premier League for the first time in more than 20 years.

The 28-year-old posted several clips to his Instagram account featuring himself and lifelong Ipswich fan Sheeran belting out several tunes, including the festive number 'Merry Christmas Everyone', following last Saturday's 2-0 victory over Huddersfield. Sheeran is no stranger to the Ipswich players and is a regular at Portman Road despite his jet-set lifestyle, and it looks as though he's enjoying the hoopla just as much as any of the players.

Ball - who was part of the Rangers side that won promotion back to the top-flight back in 2016 - is out of contract at the end of the current campaign but could there be a change of careers on the horizon?
