Former Manchester United player fires clear two-word message as Kylian Mbappe shut down

Former Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has reacted to Borussia Dortmund's win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

A Niclas Fullkrug goal settled the Champions League semi-final first-leg fixture with the second leg to come in Paris next week. PSG star Kylian Mbappe was kept quiet throughout with help from Sabitzer in defensive midfield.

The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Old Trafford after being signed in January 2023 following a serious injury to Christian Eriksen. He made 18 appearances for United, scoring three goals and providing one assist across all competitions.

And the Austrian has had his say on Wednesday's game with a simple two-word message on Instagram. "first leg," he said followed by a green tick emoji. Sabitzer has made 36 appearances for Dortmund across all competitions so far this season.

Speaking about his time at United, he said in November: "I feel very positive about my time there and still talk to a couple of people.
