Harry Byrne, Michael Milne and Scott Penny the latest to renew Leinster deals while academy pair to join Connacht

Harry Byrne, Michael Milne and Scott Penny are the latest players to agree contract extensions at Leinster, while academy pair Ben Murphy and Temi Lasisi will depart the province to join Connacht this summer.

Out-half Byrne has played 66 times for Leinster since making his debut at the start of the 2019/20 season.

The 25-year-old has featured in 15 games across the current campaign, establishing himself as back-up to older brother Ross in Leinster's out-half pecking order.

Penny has moved into a leadership role at the province this season, with the 24-year-old becoming the regular stand-in as captain during the BKT United Rugby Championship.

The flanker has already played 69 times in blue, with an impressive strike rate of 33 tries, one every three games.

Meanwhile, Connacht have confirmed the signings of Leinster academy pair Murphy (above) and Lasisi for next season.

Scrum-half Murphy, son of Ireland U20 boss and current Ulster interim head coach Richie, has been a regular presence for Leinster this season with Jamison Gibson-Park and Cormac Foley missing a lot of game time.

The 23-year-old has played nine times in the current campaign, with three of those
