Noel Gallagher to join music icons in new Disney+ series about Camden

Noel Gallagher has joined a line-up of music legends for an exciting new series on Disney+.

The former Oasis icon is set to appear alongside Coldplay's Chris Martin, producer Mark Ronson and more in the documentary Camden. Executive produced by Dua Lipa, it examines how the famous corner of London has influenced the lives and careers of some of the UK's biggest recording artists.

World-renowned musicians will relive their Camden experiences, from their very first gigs to sell out concerts, the highs and lows of nights out and a youth spent discovering music. Disney+ revealed on Wednesday (May 16) that High Flying Birds frontman Noel will feature in the show. It also confirmed Camden would release later this month on May 29.

Noel, 56, joins the previously announced line-up which also includes Little Simz, Yungblud, Questlove, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat of The Libertines. Boy George, Suggs from Madness, Black Eyed Peas, Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B, Chuck D, Eliza Rose, Lauren Laverne and Sister Bliss from Faithless round-off the legendary guest stars.

Noel, who was born in Longsight, Manchester and grew up in Burnage, shot to fame as songwriter and lead guitarist of Oasis. Formed in 1991 with his brother Liam, the band released their chart-topping debut album three years later. It quickly became the fastest-selling debut album in British history at the time.

Oasis went on to spawn eight UK number one singles and an equal amount of number one albums. Following a number of spats and a changing of band line-up over the years, the group formally disbanded in 2009.
