Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson to LEAVE Hibs as legendary duo set for special tribute

Hibs stalwarts Lewis Stevenson and Paul Hanlon will pull the curtain down on their remarkable Easter Road careers at the end of the season after more than 1,150 combined appearances.

The Leith legends will be honoured with a special tribute after the final home game of the Premiership campaign against Motherwell next Wednesday. But Hibs chiefs say the duo’s legacy will live on long beyond the last time they pull on the green and white jersey after two decades of service. The 34-year-old club captain, who joined the club’s youth system in 2007, has gone on to make over 562 appearances in all competitions and sits fifth in the club’s all-time appearance chart, just one spot below Stevenson.

Hibs owners, the Gordon family, paid tribute to the duo and said: “We’d like to begin by thanking Paul and Lewis for everything they have done at Hibernian FC. What they have achieved at the club is absolutely magnificent and their names will forever be written in the club’s history.

“They will always be considered among the greats at Hibernian FC, which is down to the tremendous roles they’ve played both on and off the pitch. They will always be
