Police incident closed busy Cardiff city centre road

A police incident closed a busy city road in Cardiff city centre. Greyfriars Road was closed in both directions due to a police incident from Park Place to Kingsway.

South Wales Police confirmed it was in attendance and the road was now open. There was heavy traffic in the surrounding area as a result of the incident.

Cardiff Bus said some of its services were diverted this afternoon (Wednesday, May 8) due to the incident. Posting on social media it said: "Due to a police incident Greyfriars Road has been closed.
