Poundland, Amazon, Waitrose and eBay items recalled

The Office for Product Safety and Standards has recalled children's items and baby clothing over posing risks of choking to the child user.

Meanwhile, among food items being recalled are Essential Waitrose and Partners Salted Dairy Butter - due to risks it may contain pieces of blue cloth.

Other recalled items listed by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute this week range include string lights which presents a high risk of fire, life jackets and purses.

Product recalls are actions taken by traders when there is a safety issue with a product that could potentially harm its users.

The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Update: Waitrose is recalling Salted Dairy Butter because it may contain pieces of blue cloth. The possible presence of blue cloth makes the product unsafe to eat.

Essential Waitrose & Partners Salted Dairy Butter

This product may contain pieces of blue cloth, which makes it unsafe to eat.

Waitrose is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return the product to your local Waitrose branch for a refund. Any customers with queries or concerns can contact the Waitrose careline team for further guidance on 0800 188 884 Option 4.
