Scottish Grand National 2024: Start time, TV channel and live stream details for the big one at Ayr

After the excitement at Aintree last weekend, it's the turn of the Scottish Grand National to take centre stage.

Racing royalty will descend on Ayr Racecourse for the pinnacle event north of the border. And legendary trainer Willie Mullins is set to be well represented on the day after confirming six runners, fresh from sampling victory at the Grand National as I Am Maximus emerged victorious from the field on Merseyside. He's whittled that down from an initial ten entries, and will be represented across all eight races on the card.

Mr Incredible is set to try again after unseating it's rider at Aintree. He'll be up against fellow Mullins horses Ontheropes, Spanish Harlem, Macdermott, Klarc Kent and We'llhavewan. And It's Macdermott who has shot to the head of the betting market as the current favourite with punters able to get 7/1. Last year's winner, Kitty's Light, didn't feature amongst the confirmations. Record Sport has all the info you need to see a great day's racing.

The big race will get underway a bit earlier than the Grand National at Aintree last weekend with horses set to race at 3.35pm on Saturday 20 April.

The coverage of the race will be available to watch on STV/ITV. Coverage will be presented by Ed Chamberlin and will be on air from 1pm until 4pm. The race can also be watched on Racing TV.

Yes, you can watch online through the STV Player or on their website or ITVX.
