Teacher who fell pregnant by teenager 'planned date night', put rose petals around flat and led boy to baby grow reading 'I love my daddy to the moon and back', trial hears

A teacher who fell pregnant by a teenager was told 'you're a n**ce, find someone your own age', as he tried to end their '18-month relationship', a court has heard. Rebecca Joynes, 30, is on trial at Manchester Crown Court. She denies six counts of sexual activity with a child.

The allegations concern two teenage boys - who cannot be named for legal reasons - she met while she was a teacher at a Greater Manchester school. Jurors previously heard Ms Joynes allegedly groomed one pupil with a Trafford Centre shopping trip, before having sex with him.

She then fell pregnant by another teenager, the court has heard. On Friday morning (May 10) a police video interview with the second complainant, Boy B, was shown to the court.

He recounted the first time he had unprotected sex with Ms Joynes, saying he was 'nervous' because it was his first time. Boy B then said Ms Joynes told him she was pregnant with his child. He said: "I don’t know if she was lying or not. She was crying and saying she didn’t know if she could do it alone.

"She said she doesn’t want it, but she was scared of getting rid of it. I said it was going to be fine. I said I don’t want it either."

He told detectives she had 'planned a date night', putting rose petals around her apartment and hiding notes for him to find, which led to a baby grow with the words: "I love my daddy to the moon and back," written on it.

Boy B went onto tell officers that the relationship became 'controlling', with Ms Joynes asking for his Snapchat password and wanting to see his location.
