The T20 World Cup squads for various teams are out. The 2024 T20 World Cup will be played in West Indies and USA from June 2 while the final will be played on June 29. This time a record 20 teams are playing in the marquee event. The teams have been divided in four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eights. Out of them four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. Recently Indian team announced its squad for the event.
However, one team announcement went viral and that was of New Zealand's. Two kids introduced the teams. But it seems social media has found a new favourite in Uganda's team announcement. In the Ugandan announcement, a man can be seen going to different places like market, nightclub, gym when he is handed a card with the player's name.
Uganda booked their spot in the competition with a nine-wicket victory over Rwanda in November, 2023 and what followed was a spirited celebration from the team members and staff.
