Hairy Bikers' Si King shares update as he celebrates Dave Myers' memory with late chef's wife Dragons' Den stars

Hairy Bikers star Si King has shared a fresh update following the loss of his co-star and friend Dave Myers as he celebrated his memory alongside his wife, family, friends and those who knew the late celebrity chef within the industry.

Best friend Si announced the sad news of Dave's death in a heartbreaking message shared on social media, in which he confirmed he, Dave's wife Liliana Orzac, his family and close friend David were all by his side as he sadly passed on February 28, just under two years after he revealed he’d been diagnosed with cancer in May 2022.

It was decided after his death that Dave and Si's latest cookery series, Hairy Bikers Go West, would continue to air in his memory and the final episode of the series left viewers in tears as it marked Dave's last onscreen appearance in emotional scenes.

Sharing a photo of them to the Hairy Bikers' Instagram page, Si said: "Last night friends, family and industry celebrated Dave’s life on the stunning 3rd floor at @fortnums thanks to CEO Tom Athron and his brilliant team."

He added: "We had a wonderful evening reminiscing about our dear friend and the room was filled with love as you’d expect – Dave would have loved it. Thank you to all that could make it – you made it very special."

Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden was quick to respond following her attendance, writing: "You gave us all the perfect chance to Celebrate a very lovely man. You couldn’t have done better
